Currently, the innovative development of the internet and the new industrial revolution are reaching a historic convergence. The internet is rapidly expanding from the consumer sector to the production sector, and from the virtual economy to the real economy, while the industrial economy is undergoing a profound transformation from digitalization to networking and intelligence.
As a key driving force in the new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation, the Industrial Internet is the product of the deep integration of next-generation network information technology and manufacturing. Through the comprehensive interconnection of people, machines, and objects, and the comprehensive connection of all factors, the entire industrial chain, and the entire value chain, it will promote the formation of a brand-new industrial production and service system, becoming a key support for the transformation and upgrading of the industrial economy and an important tool for cultivating new momentum.
As for the current state of my country’s industrial internet, the number of industrial internet platforms is growing rapidly. Currently, there are over 50 regional platforms with significant industry and regional influence, and the number of connected industrial equipment exceeds 100,000. Key platform software and hardware industries, such as industrial big data, industrial app development, edge data collection, and smart gateways, are becoming hot spots for development.
In terms of security, the Industrial Internet has initially established a monitoring platform, establishing a certain level of security risk monitoring and discovery, early warning notification, and response support capabilities. Enterprises have independently developed a new generation of industrial firewalls based on artificial intelligence technology, and intrusion detection products have begun to enter the application stage.
In terms of integrated applications, a number of innovative integrated applications have emerged across diverse industries, including steel, aerospace, infrastructure, automotive, electronics, and home appliances, across diverse environments such as production and manufacturing, operations management, warehousing and logistics, and product services. These innovations have spawned new models and business formats, effectively reducing operational costs for businesses.
As for future development, the first priority is breakthroughs in key core technologies. Research on common technologies such as perceptual sensing, information transmission, platform construction, and data analysis will be strengthened, accelerating the establishment of a common technology system for the Industrial Internet and laying a solid foundation for its development. Focusing on key core technologies, collaborative research will be strengthened on cutting-edge technologies such as 5G industrial applications, edge computing, artificial intelligence, and blockchain. In response to new production and manufacturing demands, research in applied technologies such as networked collaborative manufacturing, intelligent manufacturing, and cloud manufacturing will be strengthened, fostering a mutually reinforcing environment for technological research and industrial application.
The second priority is accelerating the digital transformation of enterprises. We will strengthen the coordinated planning and integrated integration of network technology standards and system architectures, build an advanced Industrial Internet backbone network, and promote the formation of unified industrial digital interconnection interface standards to achieve network interconnection, device interoperability, system integration, and data interoperability. We will guide and support industrial enterprises, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, in deploying new network technologies and conducting automated digital transformation of equipment, production lines, and workshops, further increasing the CNC rate of key processes and the networking rate of digital production equipment.
Third, we will focus on building a platform system. We will encourage and support cross-sector integration among manufacturing, basic telecommunications, internet, and IT companies to create a multi-layered, systematic platform system covering workshops, factories, and industries. We will cultivate a number of enterprise-level and industry-level platforms for specific industries and fields, as well as comprehensive cross-industry and cross-sector service platforms. We will accelerate the development of experimental testing, technical standards, and public service systems for Industrial Internet platforms, and develop standardized solutions for diverse scenarios.
Fourth, we will comprehensively strengthen security defenses. Establish and improve the legal and regulatory framework for industrial internet security management, strengthen enterprise responsibility, and build a comprehensive, closed-loop security management system. Accelerate the development of a multi-layered, multi-functional security technology prevention and control system to meet the security needs of industrial internet devices, controls, networks, platforms, and data, and support the development of industrial internet security enterprises. Accelerate the commercialization of security technology achievements and product and service innovation, and enhance the security technology industry’s support and assurance capabilities.
Fifth, continue to deepen international cooperation. Further promote open cooperation at a higher level, in a wider range of areas, and at a higher level, building a new open landscape for the industrial internet industry. Vigorously support industry-university-research-application collaboration, engage in international exchanges, and deepen cross-border cooperation in industrial internet technology standards, system construction, platform development, security assurance, and talent training. Strengthen exploration and cooperation in international industrial internet governance, and promote the formation of a new global industrial internet development ecosystem characterized by openness, cooperation, mutual benefit, and win-win results.
